FAQs

About Reclaim’d

What is Reclaim’d?

Reclaim’d is a modern online marketplace for vintage, reclaimed, upcycled, handmade, and high‑quality pre‑loved items. You’ll find furniture, décor, art, collectibles, housewares, architectural salvage, and one‑of‑a‑kind pieces — all with character, quality, or creative potential.

Is Reclaim’d just for furniture?

No. Reclaim’d includes décor, art, home accents, collectibles, seasonal pieces, upcycled creations, DIY projects, and other meaningful, pre‑loved or reclaimed items.

Who is Reclaim’d for?

Collectors, DIY‑makers, upcyclers, vintage lovers, thrifters, buyers, and sellers — anyone who believes meaningful pieces deserve a second life.

Accounts & Getting Started

Do I need an account to buy or sell?

Yes — and having an account helps create a safer, more connected marketplace for everyone.

Buyers need an account to browse, favorite items, message sellers, and complete secure purchases.

Sellers need an account to create listings, communicate with buyers, and receive payments.

• Sellers must complete a secure Stripe onboarding process to enable payouts and protect both buyers and sellers.

A single Reclaim’d account supports both buying and selling, so you can participate as a buyer, a seller, or both — all in one place. Accounts help build trust, enable secure transactions, and create a better experience for the entire Reclaim’d community.

Do I need separate accounts to buy and sell?

No. One account supports both buying and selling.

What if I skip Stripe onboarding?

You can browse and favorite items, but you must complete Stripe onboarding before listing items or receiving payments.

Buying & Selling on Reclaim’d

How does buying work?

Browse items, message sellers directly, ask questions, and complete checkout for items that are eligible for shipping. To keep transactions simple and reliable, sellers can offer one of the following fulfillment options:

Shipping for items that meet standard carrier requirements (USPS, UPS, FedEx — no freight)

Local Pickup for larger or oversized items

This approach helps ensure clear delivery verification and a smoother experience for both buyers and sellers.

What can I list?

Reclaim’d is curated for vintage, reclaimed, upcycled, handmade, or high‑quality pre‑loved items. Items should have character, craftsmanship, quality materials, or creative potential.

We do not allow clothing, fast fashion, mass‑produced low‑quality items, food, perishables, unsafe items, or general household clutter.

Can I sell multiple types of items?

Yes — as long as they fit within Reclaim’d’s curated categories.

How do I start selling?

Create your account, complete Stripe onboarding, and start listing.

How do buyers contact me?

Buyers message you directly through Reclaim’d.

Can I edit or delete a listing later?

Yes. Listings can be updated, paused, or removed at any time.

Trust, Safety & Disputes

How are disputes handled?

Buyers and sellers work directly together. Standardized dispute policies will roll out after launch.

Are sellers verified?

Seller verification and trust badges are planned as part of Reclaim’d’s trust & safety roadmap.

Shipping, Pickup & Delivery

Reclaim’d facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but does not take possession of items.

What items can be shipped?

Small to midsize items that meet standard USPS, UPS, or FedEx limits.

What items cannot be shipped?

Oversized, heavy, or fragile items that do not meet standard carrier requirements must be listed as Local Pickup Only.

Reclaim’d does not support freight or seller-provided local delivery at this time.

Who is responsible for shipping and delivery?

All shipping arrangements are handled directly between buyers and sellers.

Sellers who offer shipping are responsible for:

• Setting accurate shipping costs at the time of listing

• Packaging items securely

• Shipping items within their stated handling time

Reclaim’d does not arrange shipping, delivery, or transport services.

How do sellers set shipping costs?

Sellers set shipping costs directly in their listing using a simple two-part model:

Base shipping: The cost to ship the first item

Additional item: The extra cost for each additional item shipped in the same order

Example
If it costs $5 to ship one lamp, and only $1 more to add a second lamp to the same box, you can set:

• Base shipping: $5
• Additional item: $1

Result: A buyer ordering two lamps pays $6 total for shipping instead of $10.

Shipping costs can be updated at any time in your Seller Dashboard.

What if an item arrives damaged?

Buyers must notify the seller within 48 hours and provide photos so the seller can file a carrier claim.

Reclaim’d does not file or manage shipping claims.
